You know, the cats (I have two) are definitely a consideration - it's hard enough to keep them from scratching the other upholstered furniture so the ottoman would be just one more thing to keep clean and fight with them about (I've thought about a leather ottoman but if they started scratching that I might have to kill them (just kidding, I love them!)) and a coffee table definitely seems more elegant for when you have guests over, etc. It's just that we love to put our feet up. Maybe we'll just have to learn to be more civilized. ;-)LMShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13385790203721782140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-885363594098992134.post-1422775026809948152007-12-07T03:28:00.000-05:002007-12-07T03:28:00.000-05:00Just wanted to leave a note about the coffee table...Just wanted to leave a note about the coffee table vs. ottoman. We went with the ottoman (they seemed so nice and different) but you know who gets the most benefit out of it? Our cats. They love laying on it and we clean it about twice a week. Something to think about. I do wish we had bought a coffee table instead since I really have no place to lay down a drink (other than the end table, sometimes inconvenient) and I think even my kitties would turn up their nose at a firm piece of furniture and cuddle next to us more often instead...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
